Class and beauty combined into one
The jet black stallion Galayo la Silla carries on the sire's as well as on the dam's side the desired Hanoverian "G" blood that is becoming more and more rare. He belongs to the most beautiful sons of the star sire Grannus. His looks and his international success make him highly interesting for breeding. Galayo la Silla is an Oldenburg sports stallion, strong and modern in appearance, who has established himself in the international show jumping circuit.
The stallion’s perfect build, expressive head and results in sports provide the best conditions for a promising breeding. His rideability, technique and jumping ability with an excellent bascule helped the young rider Corina Sorg (SUI) to more than 60 national and international winnings and placings, amongst others in Grand Prix, S-classes, as well as Nations Cups and Championships. Also in 2010, at the remarkable age of 18, he presented himself successfully in national and international competitions.
Sire: Grannus, not only a name, but a symbol, a brand. He is the allegory for individual full power with a unique aura. He was one of those show jumping sires with the most resounding success worldwide. His offspring attract great attention in national as well as international show jumping and have won the gigantic amount of 3.48 million Euro to date. Based on the strong inheritance achievement, it is no surprise that Grannus produced over 60 licensed sons. 7 of his descendants were Olympic horses, among them Top Gun with Jan Tops. They can all be characterised by stamina, a fighting spirit and an excellent jumping technique.
In his pedigree we find a number of the most prestigious jumping sires throughout the world, such as Graphit, Grande, Gotthard and Ozean, who was a remarkable performance sire, too.
Dam: Gilly, who was successfully competing in show jumping up to 1.30m classes, carries performance blood on her sire's as well as on her dam's side. Her sire Genever is of great importance, being the sire of the well-known stallion Genius, who won the Grand Prix in Aachen, the World Cup in Del Mar in 1992 and Olympic team silver in Barcelona under Thomas Frühmann (AUT). Genever was exported overseas and had a successful breeding career in the USA and Canada. Grandsire Gotthard was unquestionably the most important Hanoverian show jumping sire of the 70s. The list of his internationally successful progeny is long. Gilly’s dam traces back over Löwen As to Lugano II and the thoroughbred Der Löwe xx on the sire's and over Duft II to Duellant on the dam's side.
